This all too relevant panel discussion will bring together different stakeholders and viewpoints to explore how companies in the insurance industry are addressing this topic and what the conversation might look like moving forward. What are companies already doing to address this subject? How can the conversation be started? How will the implementation of these exchanged put your company in a better position to respect and support all personnel and the impact it will have on external relationships.

Maryann Hoff
Senior Risk Control Manager Senior Risk Control Manager at Safety National, Maryann Hoff is responsible for managing risk control services for a portfolio of policyholders. She also serves as the Risk Services Healthcare Industry Practice Lead for the East Coast. Maryann joined Safety National in 2018, as a Senior Risk Control Manager. Prior to joining Safety National, Maryann held various risk control consulting positions for national and regional insurance carriers. Maryann has served as a member of the Small Business Risk Education Initiative, and is actively involved with the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) and Women in Safety Excellence (WISE). Beyond her role with Safety National, Maryann is a Board member of the NextGen Insurance Society of Philadelphia, where she champions exposure to our industry and the professional development of the next generation. Maryann holds an Associate Risk Management (ARM) and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designations. She obtained her Master of Environmental Health and Safety degree and Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. |

Denise C. Hunter, MBA
AVP, Business Development Leader With over 15 years of commercial property and casualty insurance experience, Denise Hunter has a diverse product and industry background, holding titles in claims handling, underwriting, and business development. Denise joined Zurich North America in 2016. She is the Business Development Leader with the Marketing, Distribution and Regional Management team for Zurich North America in the Mid-Atlantic Region, working with brokers and clients in Greater Philadelphia, New York, New Jersey, and Delaware. In her current position, she is responsible for the development and execution of a territory business plan, managing broker relationships, driving new business production, new product roll-out and key-account retention. She is currently the Co-Chair of Zurich’s Philadelphia Chapter of the Women Innovation Network. |
Sevé Spruill
Director, Talent Outreach Sevé Spruill is a Director in charge of Talent Outreach for Chubb Insurance. His team is responsible for the sourcing and recruiting of candidates for all of Chubb's Underwriting and Claims Divisions across North America. The team also has Full Life Cycle recruiting duties for our North American Accident and Health Product Line Division and all of the recruiting activities for our Simsbury, CT office. He works with senior management in developing strategies for the effective growth of human capital. His responsibilities have included recruitment, retention, development, organizational design, compensation, diversity and inclusion. Mr. Spruill first joined Chubb(formerly ACE Group) as a Recruiter in 2014 and was appointed to his current position in 2017. Mr. Spruill has helped establish a national, comprehensive college recruitment program to enhance diversity and manage college relations. He has been a guest speaker on college campuses and at national member organization conferences speaking on specialized topics, including intergenerational relations, retention, diverse/inclusive strategic recruiting and interviewing. |
Michael Tiagwad
President and Chief Executive Officer Prior to joining Conner Strong & Buckelew in 2005, Tiagwad spent 17 years at The Graham Company, a Philadelphia based insurance brokerage. Initially, Tiagwad oversaw the company’s sales efforts, and in 1998 he became President of the agency. Under Tiagwad’s leadership, the firm grew to become one of the 50 largest agencies in the United States. Prior to Tiagwad’s employment at The Graham Company, he spent eight years at Xerox Corporation in various sales and marketing positions |
